31 Days of HIGH MOON: Halloween Reading

"Who doesn’t love a good scary story, especially this time of year?" -- that's the question Kevin Pearl asks and answers with a post that examines some of this season's TOP HALLOWEEN READS available through comiXology.

Here's what he had to to say about HIGH MOON:

High Moon #1-#11: Werewolf’s and Cowboys, two of the halloween costumes that may never go out of style and neither hopefully will this award winning digital comic that celebrates 3rd year on the web this month as a comic tailor made for halloween. It’s a little tough to pick out a single issue from a series so ripe with horrors and twists so go ahead and download all 11 issues right now…if you dare!

31 Days of HIGH MOON: Where High Moon Started From ...

Six years ago today, I drew this sketch from this crazy dream I had about a werewolf western series. And HIGH MOON was born -- sort of. Back then, Matthew Macgregor borrowed heavily from Gun Smoke and Have Gun, Will Travel -- but things changed, Steve Ellis and Scott O. Brown came on board -- Macgregor and the series took on a life of its own. And I'm grateful it did.

But, everything started here -- with this humble sketch ... six years ago.

31 Days of HIGH MOON

http://www.davidgallaher.com/images/HighMoon/MacPromoArt.300.jpg

This month marks the third anniversary of HIGH MOON as a digital comic series, it also marks a year since the publication of the HIGH MOON trade. All of that is very exciting stuff. To commemorate the event, Steve Ellis and I will be spending the entire month of October sharing a lot of HIGH MOON related goodies. We’ll talk about the HIGH MOON video game, discuss our experiences about Zuda, show a bunch of great HIGH MOON related art, discuss the Tristan spin-off, the planned anthology, the fifth season, we'll also link to some online interviews, and maybe even have a contest or two.

It is our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to all of our readers and fans for their tremendous support during our last three years at DC Comics.

So, grab your Stetson and your six-shooter -- and join us as we celebrate with a BANG!
