31 Days of HIGH MOON: Happy Birthday Zuda Comics

This month we've been celebrating the anniversary of HIGH MOON, which launched three years ago this day -- at approximately this time on the Zuda Comics website. Not so coincidentally, Zuda Comics also launched on this time, on this day, three years ago.

This is their celebration as much as it is ours.

HIGH MOON wouldn't be what it is without the integrity, hard work, and incredible determination of folks like Kwanza Johnson, Ron Perazza, Nika Vagner, Dave McCullough, Mike Zagari, Micheal Wright, Jessica Numsuwankijkul, Maria Cabardo, Paul Levitz, and many others. We owe our success to you -- and we can't possibly thank you enough.

Thank you ... and Happy Birthday!

31 Days of HIGH MOON: Rusty Shackles covers HIGH MOON

Some of you may know of artist Rusty Shackles from his fantastic work with Comics Alliance or from the Covered blog. Not too long ago, Rusty made this amazing HIGH MOON image -- and to celebrate our anniversary of the series, I thought I'd take the time the share it. If you dig Rusty's work, go follow him on Twitter. You'll be glad you did.

31 Days of HIGH MOON

http://www.davidgallaher.com/images/HighMoon/MacPromoArt.300.jpg

This month marks the third anniversary of HIGH MOON as a digital comic series, it also marks a year since the publication of the HIGH MOON trade. All of that is very exciting stuff. To commemorate the event, Steve Ellis and I will be spending the entire month of October sharing a lot of HIGH MOON related goodies. We’ll talk about the HIGH MOON video game, discuss our experiences about Zuda, show a bunch of great HIGH MOON related art, discuss the Tristan spin-off, the planned anthology, the fifth season, we'll also link to some online interviews, and maybe even have a contest or two.

It is our way of saying ‘Thank You’ to all of our readers and fans for their tremendous support during our last three years at DC Comics.

So, grab your Stetson and your six-shooter -- and join us as we celebrate with a BANG!

BALTIMORE, MD (March 8, 2010) -- The Executive Committees of the Harvey Awards and the Baltimore Comic-Con are proud to present the official Nomination Ballot for this year's Harvey Awards. Webcomics Round Up

It's been a very busy couple of weeks for the HIGH MOON posse, but we thought we'd take a few moments to spotlight some of the things that have caught our eye recently:

  • Andy Belanger, creator of Raising Hell, has debuted a brand new series on Zuda called Bottle of Awesome! It’s a whole lot of fun and worth checking out!

  • Like awesome Science-Fiction? Like brilliant characters and smart story telling? Sean Wang’s Runners may just be up your alley!

  • The talented Timony Twins have a new comic series called Minion Maze!

  • Cameron Stewart continues to unfold a dangerous tale of deception and betrayal in his semi-autobiographical series: Sin Titulo.

  • The crazy geniuses at Black Cherry Bombshells just recently hit their 100th page landmark! That’s 100 pages of off-the-hook zombie smashing action!
